Powder Characterization
High quality spray coatings require a sophisticated and controlled coating technology.For this purpose the spray powders used must be known in theire application-relevant properties.Therefore a comprehensive powder characterization methodology has been developed with which all powder charcacteristics can ben described in three cathegories.Figure 1 shows this concept in general form.
It depends on the need of information with which methods and in which details powder characteristics are being analyzed.It is essential that the powder type with its processing relevant characteritstics is being recognized and defined.Only in this way the specific powder properties can be used definitely and successfully.
