Regarding the ZrO2-Y2O3 80/20 powder types there are again porous and dense powders with spherical and irregular particle shape and different phase contents.
-The powders produced from the melt either atomized or solidified and crushed are fully stabilized in the cubic phase,but they differ in their powder morphology-porous and dense resp.
-The powders produced by agglomeration are either non-stabilized or high -stabilized,depending on whether the powder has been produced only by agglomeration from Y2O3 and ZrO2 or by additional sintering with corresponding mixed crystal formation.The high Y2O3-content cares in the only agglomerated powder type for a predominant stabilization during Y2O3 can remain in the coating and even some monocline ZrO2.
