Abstract: Plasma method is widely used in spherical /densified-powders’preparation，the spherical /densified-powder obtained by this mean possesses the characteristics of good sphericity，high purity and narrow size distribution，and etc． The principles and characteristics of different plasma technologies are introduced，and current research situation and their problems are analyzed． Meanwhile，the development trend of plasma technology in preparation of spherical / densified － powder is prospected．
