Abstract:Hypersonic oxy-fuel spraying (HVOF/HVAF) is a kind of new thermal spraying technology with advantages of high particle-velocity and good coating quality. The developments of the theory and technology of HVOF/HVAF are reviewed in three respects: the heating and accelerating behaviours of the particle beams in the process of spraying, the spray gun design and the numerical simulation of spray flames, as well as the applications of the spray coating technology,which provide references and foundations for the developments and applications of the technique in China.
