Abstract: Compared with plasma spray layer and hard chrome plating layer，the layer of high velocity oxygen fuel ( HVOF) spray has the features like higher combined strength，compactness，and superior abrasion． Aiming at the repeated breakdown of rail chrome layer’s peeling off of fuel receiving equipment in some airplane，the paper uses HVOF to repair it instead of chrome plating． Through the research of rail damage，imitating experiment，sample validation，and installation supervision use，the HVOF’s superiority is presented．
