THERMAL SPRAYED HYDROXYAPATITE COATING ON BIO IMPLANTS: A REVIEW

abstract:Hydroxyapatite (HA) coating on bio implants is a new technique which has attracted all attention of the researcher related to bio materials and surface coating. HA coated metallic implant posses good mechanical properties due to substrate material, superior bio compatibility due to porous coating. Plasma sprayed hydroxyapatite coating have excellent properties like adhesion strength, young’s modulus and good crystalline structure with low porosity.
