Abstract: Thermal spray technology is an effective method to prolong agricultural machinery materials’service lifetime. Firstly, it can fabricate wear or corrosion resistance coatings on the surface of key parts to protect their metal substrates from the severe environment. Besides, it can repair those worn parts by preparing size recovery coatings on their surface. This paper presented the status of thermal spray technology in above applications. In the end, some suggestions were made to promote the application in the agricultural machinery industry of China.
