Abstract:Warm compaction is a new forming technique for fabricating high performance ferrous PM parts at low cost. This paper reviewed and discussed the powder materials, polymer,temperature, compressive stress,sintering and its densification mechanism of the warm compaction. The new development of warm compaction-warm flow compaction,high compacting pressure warm compaction etc,and the potential application of warm compaction was presented.
