Abstract Owing to the friction and maintenance difficulties caused by pipe jacking construction, the external anti-corrosion of steel pipe has many special requirements. After compared the performance, price and construction requirements of epoxy coal tar coating, epoxy glass flake coating and fusion bonded epoxy powder coating, the fusion bonded epoxy powder coating was chosen as the external anticorrosive coating of steel pipe in Nanhui water supply project. Through the verification of this project, this material can improve the quality and applicability of the anticorrosive coating on steel pipe and ensure the project safety.
