Abstract: The latest research achievements and the development of machining technologies for structural ceramics materials in home and abroad were summarized, such as laser, electrical discharge machining (EDM), plasma arc, ultrasonic wave, microwave and other special machining techniques,composite machining technologies, as well as interface thermal chemistry reaction machining, high-speed (super speed) grinding and electrolytic in process dressing (ELID) grinding technologies on the basis of traditional grinding technology, to provide help for developing good quality, high efficiency and low cost machining technologies in structural ceramics materials at home.
