Abstract: Nano-TiO2/ZnO composite particles were prepared by mechanical stirring nano-TiO2and micro-ZnO, and then modified with stearic acid. A TiO2/ZnO composite superhydrophobic coating was formed on steel plate by baking at 200 °C for 15 min. The surface morphology and superhydrophobicity of the coating were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and contact angle analysis. It was found that the hydrophobic methyl group is introduced into composite particles through modification by stearic acid, thus forming a micro/nano double roughness structure. When the content of stearic acid is 9%, the static state contact angle of the coating surface with water is 165.3°, and the sliding angle is 4°. The coating has excellent dissolution resistance, temperature tolerance, and self-cleaning property.
