Abstract:The latest development of plasma-sprayed hydroxyapatite coatings on biomedical materials has been summarized. Its content refers to promotion of plasma-sprayed technology, characterization of coating's phase structure and mechanical properties, numerical simulation of coating process and biological estimation. On the basis of introduction above, the development trend of plasma-sprayed hydroxyapatite coatings is also proposed.
