Abstract:The recent development of domestic silicates coating materials for heat preservation is reviewed.New advances in preparation ofdomestic silicates hea-t insulation and energy-saving coatings in recentyears are also introduced; Future development direction of silicates hea-t insulation and energy-saving coatings is also proposed. It is shown that high performance silicates hea-t insulation and energy-saving coatings could be prepared using vitreousmicro-bead or ceramic micro-sphere as novel inorganic filler. Study up on of nano-composite silicates hea-t insulation and energy-saving coatings is expected to make a breakthrough; long service life, good insulation property, environmentally benign and perfectly ornamental performance are themost important topics in future research.
