Development of Anti-corrosion Technology for Transmission Tower Steel Components

  Abstract: In coastal and heavy industry pollution environment,the hot-dip galvanizing anti-corrosion technology can no longer meet service life requirements of transmission tower steel components.Hot-dip galvanized Zn -Al and its multiple alloying coating could prolong service life more than 1 time,without a higher cost.Thermal spraying zinc and zinc -aluminum alloy coating show better corrosion resistance,extending the service life 1 -8 times.Life -cycle cost -effective assessment is 2.4 times than that of hot-dip galvanizing.Thermal spraying zinc alloy to replace the traditional galvanized is the development direction to achieve long-term anti-corrosion tower steel components.
