Abstract:An original approach has been made in monitoring the thermal spraying. Monitoring of the process is based on visualization of particle movement using both high speed videocamera and wide-band high intensive illumination and measurements of particle temperature and velocity. Synchronous with the registration of the particle parameters, surface temperature of the coating has been measured with 2-channel pyrometer with high spatial and temporal resolution. The results of investigations of the Cold Spray process and D-gun spraying are presented.
