Abstract:High quality coatings can be prepared when spray powders were injected into higher temperature area inside of atmospheric plasma spray torch. Because that spray powders were melted well in this way. And powder deposition efficiency was higher than external feedstock mode. In this paper, properties of plasma spray torch in internal and external feedstock mode were summarized. And the research and application status of atmospheric plasma spray torch in internal feedstock mode was presented.
