Abstract:Nowadays, advanced surface technology is an interdisciplinary science of incorporated contemporary material and vacuum technologies with new high-tech development and become sone of the leading -edge technologies for manufacturing. It has been applied extensively to the field of surface coatings and functional films with high performances.The characteristics and contents of thermal spray technology and double glow plasma surface alloying technique are reviewed.Finally, it gives the outlook of the application of the techniques.
