Abstract: On the basis of gas-powder two-plase flow,combustion characteristics of high velocity oxy-fuel spraying were calculated by FLUENT software. Three different combustion-supporting conditions,pure oxygen,air and oxygen / air gas,were taken into account in the calculation. Results indicate that on the condition of pure oxygen,combustion is sufficient and temperature is relatively high while the increase of oxygen mass flow rate has little effect on flame temperature. In case of the air condition,high air mass flow rate results in high pressure in combustion chamber,which is appropriate for spraying oxidizable powder with low melting point. As for the oxygen / air gas condition,the highest flame temperature rises with the increasing ratio of oxygen,and it can replace pure oxygen to support combustion for the ratio of oxygen increasing to a certain degree. Also,different oxygen ratios indirectly affect the component of combustion products.
