Abstract
Thermal sprayed coating is presently being applied to surfaces of structu components to prevent erosion and/or corrosion. Methods for the nondestru degradation and damage, such as decline in adhesive strength and decrease should thus be established. This paper proposes nondestructive methods fo strength of thermal sprayed coating and measuring coating thickness by ul strength was evaluated based on spectral intensity at a certain frequency waveform. Spectral intensity at a certain frequency band increases with a correspondingly. In coating thickness measurement, to enhance signal-to-n waveforms, the wavelet transform was used to analyze the ultrasonic wavef boundary between the coating and base metal could be readily determined.
