Abstract: The national plan of developing low-carbon and green paper industry was defined in the‘China’s 12th Five Years Plan’，and the situation of energy consumption in pulp and paper industry was introduced． The advanced，mature and available energy-saving technology and equipment，which are promoted nowadays in worldwide paper industry are discussed，the application of the advanced technology and equip-ment will help realizing the goal of energy-saving and emission reduction in Chinese paper industry．
