Abstract: In this article, ultra-fine Al2O3 particles reinforced polymers were used to improve the mechanical and physical properties of the organic coating so as to improve its wear resistance. The epoxy-ceramic gradient coating was prepared by electrostatic spraying of epoxy powders, epoxy resin/Al2O3 powders and epoxy powders sequentially. The wear resistance and the adhesion strength were studied by Scoring and erosion method respectively. It was found that the highest adhesion strength occurred on the gradient coating with three layers after surface treatment, the optimum wear resistance and hardness of 43 HV for the coating could be realized when 30% ceramic particles were added and cured at 220 ℃ for 20 min, and the wear rate of the coating, roughened by the bombardment of Al2O3 particles with the size of 16 ~18 μm for 90 s, was merely 0.45%.
