Abstract：Ni60-SiC coating, Ni60-Cr3C2 coating and Ni60-WC coating were prepared by 30%SiC, 10%Cr3C2, 30 % WC powders with such techniques as plasma spraying, spray re-melting and spray welding. The preparation process takes W6Mo5-Cr4V2 as the substrate material. The microstructure of the coating was analyzed, the microhardness was measured, and the thermal parameters were tested. The experimental results show that the coating with a proportion of 70%Ni60/30%SiC powder after adapting the technique for spray welding has the best performance. In terms of macro-micro morphology, microhardness and the thermal parameters, the kind of the coating can meet the requirement for the use of hot forging die surface.
