Abstract:A series of nanoparticles of pure rare-earth metals have been prepared by the method of inert-gas condensation1By analyzing the changes of the vapor pressures of the rare-earth metals with the temperature, kinds of the rare-earth metals suitable to be prepared by the technique of inert-gas condensation were proposed1Using Sm,Nd and Gd as the examples, the morphologies and the crystal structures have been observed and analyzed by the transmission electron microscopy, and the mean nanoparticle sizes and the size distributions are provided.
