Abstract:The non-equilibrium technology for synthesizing amorphous alloys by high energy ball milling was developed in the 1970.s. The mechanisms and thermodynamic, kinetic conditions of forming amorphous alloys by high energy ball milling are introduced. The influence of process pa-rameters and theoretical predictions of the ability of an alloy to become amorphous under high en-ergy ball milling conditions are summarized which are useful to designing amorphous alloys to be prepared by high energy ball milling.
