Abstract:Cold spray is usually used to metal functional coating fabrication. In this paper, NiO/Al2O3 porous brittle catalyst coating was prepared by cold spray. The microstructure、micro-region and phase composition of the coating were analyzed by SEM,EDX and XRD. It was found that cold spray process has selectivity to catalytic powders, it has a better deposition character for the powders with about 50Lm diameter. After collision,the feedstock particles shattered to small pieces. Right opposite to the spray gun on the substrate, the coating is crude. Compared with the feedstock, Ni contents in the cold sprayed NiO/Al2O3coating increases, but there is no phase change of the coating; Primary steam reforming of methane results show that the process can be carry on with a high space velocity.
